Medical Assistant Expert

Certified medical assistants can use their clinical know-how to help train AI systems in this remote contract role. You'll write realistic healthcare scenarios and check how well AI models handle them, which suits practitioners who know both the hands-on and administrative sides of the job. The role is with a Y Combinator-backed AI startup that builds healthcare-focused training content.

What you'll do

• Write clinical questions and case studies on areas such as patient intake, vital signs, EHR documentation, lab procedures and basic pharmacology
• Review AI-generated answers and give detailed feedback on their clinical accuracy
• Work with healthcare and technical specialists to set the right difficulty for each question

What you'll need

• A current CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent credential in good standing
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program, or similar training
• Hands-on experience covering both clinical and administrative duties
• Strong analytical skills, close attention to detail and clear writing

Good to know

• Contract engagement, fully remote and asynchronous, so you set your own hours
• Pay is $45 per hour
• Several years of practice in settings such as primary care, specialty clinics or urgent care is preferred
• Extra certifications (phlebotomy, EKG) or past work in healthcare training or health tech are a plus
