Medical Specialist

Physicians with a hospital medicine background can use their inpatient expertise to improve how AI models handle clinical records. This remote contract suits board-certified internists who know adult inpatient charting well and are comfortable with careful, detail-oriented review. The work supports an AI training company's client project centered on inpatient care and documentation quality.

What you'll do

• Examine clinical notes and structured FHIR data, and confirm that each clinical claim is backed by the chart
• Assess adult inpatient documentation such as HPI, past history, medication reconciliation, assessments and plans
• Flag gaps or errors, including dosing not adjusted for kidney or liver function, drug interactions and details that don't fit the patient's age
• Apply the project guidelines consistently and give feedback that improves model output and data quality

What you'll need

• MD or DO with Internal Medicine board certification (a Hospital Medicine focused practice designation also fits)
• Five or more years as a hospitalist, with inpatient work in the past two years
• A solid grasp of hospital workflows, from admission and progress notes through transitions of care and discharge
• Background in chart review, CDI, utilization review or coding/QA is a plus
