Technical Content Writer

This contract role combines technical writing with hands-on data work. You'll study open datasets, work through analytical questions and turn the results into documentation that others can follow. It suits writers, analysts or developers who know Python and like explaining technical reasoning in plain terms, and the work is for an AI research and data company that serves frontier AI labs.

What you'll do

• Write technical documents and other deliverables that are accurate and easy to follow
• Explore openly available datasets to answer business and analytical questions
• Walk through your logic step by step in notebooks or similar formats
• Handle JSON data and use Python scripts to check and reproduce your analysis
• Record your methods, assumptions and findings, and refine results with researchers and stakeholders

What you'll need

• At least three years of experience in technical writing, analysis or software development
• Solid technical writing plus working Python for data checks (this isn't a core engineering job)
• Familiarity with JSON, notebooks, and good documentation and code-formatting habits
• Strong analytical judgment and excellent written and spoken English
• A Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Computer Science, or comparable practical experience

Good to know

• Contractor engagement without medical or paid leave; the initial term is three months and may be adjusted
• Minimum of 4 hours a day and 20 hours a week, including 4 hours that overlap with Pacific Time
• Open to candidates in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico
