RemoteContractData Analysis

Key skills

  • Python
  • Bash
  • Docker

About the job

This short-term contract is for a DevOps engineer who can build data checks directly into Docker image builds, so faulty datasets or model artifacts are caught before release. It suits someone with solid container and scripting experience who likes setting standards and automating quality gates. The work is for an AI data and research company that supports frontier AI labs and enterprise teams.

What you'll do

  • Write and tune Dockerfiles that run validation during the build
  • Add LABEL entries recording lineage, schema and dataset version details
  • Build Python or Bash scripts that check schemas, integrity and overall data quality
  • Wire these checks into CI/CD so a pipeline stops when data fails
  • Write down the conventions for labeling, validation rules and governance

What you'll need

  • 4+ years as a DevOps engineer
  • Deep hands-on skill with Docker and Dockerfiles
  • Python or Bash scripting ability
  • Familiarity with schemas, data formats and validation tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and container registries

Good to know

  • Remote contractor role lasting 2-4 weeks, without medical or paid leave
  • Choose 20, 30 or 40 hours a week, with at least 4 hours daily and 4 hours overlapping Pacific Time
  • Open to candidates based in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil
  • Extra credit for LLM evaluation work, MLOps, Great Expectations, Kubernetes or container security
  • Assessment includes a technical interview of about 30-60 minutes
