Python Machine Learning Engineer

This contract role suits a seasoned machine learning engineer who can carry models from raw data into production and guide other engineers along the way. The work is for an AI training company that supports frontier AI labs and enterprises deploying AI.

What you'll do

• Build ML solutions from data preparation through deployment and monitoring
• Turn business goals into model architectures that reflect real-world logic
• Set problem definitions and success measures with product, engineering and business teams
• Tune models for accuracy and scale, drawing on current research
• Mentor teammates and help shape technical direction

What you'll need

• A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics or a similar numerate discipline
• At least four years building data science or ML models
• Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) plus NLP, Computer Vision, time-series forecasting and statistical modelling
• Experience shipping production-grade ML at scale; deep learning, PySpark, Databricks, AWS or Kaggle results are a plus

Good to know

• Three-month contractor assignment, fully remote, without medical cover or paid leave
• Choose 20, 30 or 40 hours a week, working a minimum of 4 hours a day with 4 hours overlapping Pacific Time
• Open to candidates in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey and Mexico
• About 75 minutes of interviews: a 60-minute technical round and a 15-minute onboarding chat
