Software Testing Specialist

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Debt Solutions Support Division. As a Software Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing assignments in the delivery of a variety of services relating to software testing in disbursing and debt management.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Experience writing and testing software using industry languages, methodologies, techniques, and procedures; AND - Experience using queries and automated scripts to analyze, troubleshoot, and identify problems, documenting objects or data, warranting cleanup, re-testing, and validating modifications for system problems. AND - Experience supporting debt collection, financial management, accounts receivable or similar transaction-based systems, applying problem solving skills and collaborating with other stakeholders to develop test scenarios and determine impact to existing functionality.
