RemoteContractMedicine

Key skills

  • Medical Coding

About the job

Board-certified internists with deep hospital medicine experience can use that expertise to improve how AI models handle adult inpatient records. The work centres on auditing charts and notes against defined review rules. It suits hospitalists who are at ease with detailed documentation review, and it is a remote contract role on a client project for an AI training company.

What you'll do

  • Examine clinical notes and FHIR data to confirm each claim is backed by the patient record
  • Assess admission histories, PMH, social history, med rec, and assessment and plan sections from adult inpatient stays
  • Flag gaps or errors such as dosing that ignores kidney or liver function, drug interactions, or details that don't fit the patient's age
  • Give written feedback that improves model output and data quality

What you'll need

  • Preferred: MD or DO with Internal Medicine board certification (a Hospital Medicine focused practice designation also fits)
  • Five or more years as a hospitalist, ideally with inpatient work in the past two years
  • Solid familiarity with admission notes, progress notes, care transitions and discharge documentation
  • Precision when applying review rules; a background in chart review, CDI, utilization review or medical coding/QA helps

Good to know

  • Contract engagement, fully remote
  • Pay ranges from $80 to $125 per hour
