Family Medicine Hospitalist

Physicians with a hospitalist background can use their clinical judgment to evaluate patient charts that become AI training data. The role suits family medicine doctors who know how admissions, progress notes and discharge summaries are written, and who like careful, rule-based review. The project is for an AI company and centers on hospital care and the quality of clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Read clinical notes and structured FHIR data, checking that each statement is backed by the chart
• Assess sections such as HPI, PMH, assessments and plans for gaps, errors or contradictions
• Apply the project's guidelines the same way on every case
• Report findings to the project team and give feedback that improves model output and data quality

What you'll need

• Preferred: an MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine; a Hospital Medicine focus or certification is also a fit
• Preferred: five or more years as a hospitalist, with inpatient work in the past two years
• Solid knowledge of hospital workflows, from admission through transitions of care to discharge
• A plus: chart review, CDI, utilization review or coding/QA experience, and care for a mixed patient population such as geriatrics, pediatrics or obstetrics

• Pay ranges from $80 to $125 per hour
