Food Service Worker (CDC)

About the position: This position will be assigned to the A-Basin Child Development Center on Buckley Space Force Base. This position is guaranteed 20 hours per week. This position is eligible for benefits. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions. be able to use hand tools for cleaning. and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food. and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently till or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able 10 continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop. reach. push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler"s Cerlilicate and/or complete food handler's training. In addition individual must be able 10 satisfactorily complete installation. state. and national criminal background checks. Must meet specific physical requirements, pass a physical examination and have required immunizations. Must be able to read. write. and speak English fluently. Must be 18 years of age. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Musi be courteous and exercise diplomacy and tact when dealing with the public. Must adhere to all the fire and safety requirements. Performed is measured on satisfactory completeness of work and volume performance. Performance is also reviewed for compliance with oral instructions. Thoroughly completes duties according to schedules and checklists. TRAINING All formal and informal training as deemed necessary by the supervisor. Musi complete the National Restaurant Association ScrvSafe Program within the first 3 months of employment. Satisfactory completion of and maintaining currency in this training is required and is a condition of employment.
