Insurance Policy Analyst

This short-term contract suits insurance professionals with one to three years of hands-on policy or coverage analysis experience. You'll use that expertise to review insurance documents and test coverage reasoning for an AI research lab that builds specialized datasets for advanced AI systems. The project runs for roughly two to three weeks, and the work is remote and done on your own timetable.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret the wording of policies, endorsements, and exclusions across several insurance lines
• Assess coverage decisions, compare policies and identify gaps in protection
• Check whether policy terms and filings meet regulatory requirements
• Judge whether coverage conclusions hold up, and record your reasoning so others can follow it

What you'll need

• One to three years in coverage analysis, policy analysis, compliance, or a similar role
• A solid grasp of how a policy is built, from declarations and insuring agreements to conditions
• Working knowledge of rating factors, limits, deductibles, forms, and filings
• A bachelor's in insurance, risk management, finance, business, or a related subject, or equivalent experience
• A plus: CPCU, AINS, API or ARM designations, ISO forms or NAIC familiarity, or tools such as Guidewire, Duck Creek or Applied Epic
