Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks: Performs aircraft sheet metal repair, fabrication, modification, and structural disassembly/assembly on aircraft components, assemblies, and subassemblies; Interprets technical drawings, maintenance manuals, directives, and work instructions to complete assigned repair, manufacturing, and modification tasks; Uses precision measuring tools, jigs, fixtures, hand tools, power tools, rivet guns, presses, shears, brakes, grinders, and related equipment to fabricate and install aircraft metal components; Manufactures and installs patches, splices, reinforcements, and replacement parts using approved aircraft fasteners and standard repair methods; Works with aluminum, titanium, steel, stainless steel, alloys, plastics, honeycomb, tubing, and extrusions while complying with quality, safety, PPE, tool-control, hazardous-material, and FOD-prevention requirements.
