Senior Product Designer, UI/UX

This role pairs an experienced designer with research teams at an AI lab to raise the standard of the interfaces its models produce for websites and games. It suits product designers and design engineers with strong taste who prototype hands-on and can clearly articulate why one layout succeeds where another falls short.

What you'll do

• Work with researchers to pin down top-tier UI and UX patterns, then turn them into principles and scoring rubrics
• Build interactive web prototypes in code or with AI-native tools such as Cursor, v0, Lovable or Bolt, across many product types
• Critique AI-generated interfaces with specific written notes on hierarchy, layout, interaction, motion and overall polish
• Experiment with varied visual styles and animation, from productivity software to consumer apps and games

What you'll need

• At least 7 years in product design, design leadership, design engineering or creative front-end work at a design-led company or leading agency
• Hands-on prototyping with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Tailwind or tools like Framer
• Senior judgment plus precise, constructive written feedback
• A plus: Framer Motion, GSAP, Rive, Lottie, After Effects, 3D/WebGL or game design experience

Good to know

• Full-time W-2 employment through a staffing firm acting as employer of record, with placement on the lab's extended workforce
• 40 hours a week, on weekdays
• Open to candidates based in the United States
• Pay: $80–$110 per hour
