RECREATION AID (ITT OFFICE)

About the position: This position is a RFT (full-time) Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position assigned to the Ft Eustis ITT Office on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Position is guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Requires possession of a valid motor vehicle license. Applicant must have the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to effectively communicate with customers and leadership. Must possess math skills which allow incumbent to accurately perform duties. Work requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and carrying. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing over 50 pounds. Frequently exposed to possibility of cuts and serious injuries and/or falls. Works both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to elements, cold and heat, humidity, rain, drafts, dirt, dust, and noise. Special care is required to avoid serious injury. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and Food Handler's Certification. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."
