Italian Bilingual Expert

This contract role involves reviewing Italian audio recordings and judging how natural and fluent the speech sounds, with all feedback written in English. It suits native Italian speakers with a good ear for pronunciation, particularly those with a background in linguistics, phonetics, voice work or audio. The work supports language model development for an AI training company and its client.

What you'll do

• Listen to Italian clips from human speakers or AI models and rate how native and fluent they sound
• Judge pronunciation, intonation and authenticity against set guidelines
• Write clear English notes explaining the reasoning behind each rating
• Check with project coordinators when instructions or content are unclear

What you'll need

• Native-level Italian, both spoken and written
• English at B2 level or higher
• A sharp eye for detail and the ability to explain subtle differences in how language is used
• Preferred: a background in linguistics, phonetics, voice work, music or audio engineering, or hands-on experience with transcription or audio analysis

Good to know

• Independent contractor engagement, fully remote
• Pay ranges from $30 to $65 per hour
• Previous AI experience isn't needed; language expertise is the main requirement
