Graphic Design Expert

This contract role has experienced graphic designers judge how well AI image models handle brand, type and layout. It suits designers who can look at a composition and explain exactly why it works or fails. The work is for an AI training company that produces expert evaluation data for leading AI labs.

What you'll do

• Write design briefs based on real agency and in-house assignments
• Produce reference critiques that set out your typography and layout reasoning
• Score AI-generated images on text rendering, logo accuracy, composition and brand consistency
• Catch images that seem polished but contain errors a trained designer would spot

What you'll need

• Two or more years of professional design work in brand, editorial or campaign settings
• Solid command of typography, grids and identity systems
• Hands-on skill in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign, plus a portfolio to show it
• Strong written English for explaining visual decisions
• A plus: identity, packaging or editorial portfolios, or experience with image generation tools

Good to know

• Independent contract work, fully remote and asynchronous
• $40–$80 per hour, set by experience and paid weekly through Stripe
• Minimum of 10 hours a week, with no upper limit
• No screen recording or activity tracking
