Information Security Analyst

This contract role has experienced security professionals create evaluation material that AI labs use to judge how models handle security operations. It suits analysts who have triaged alerts, run investigations and can explain their reasoning in writing. The work comes through an AI training data company that places contractors into specialist skill pools, which project teams draw from as needs arise.

What you'll do

• Design realistic security cases that follow an incident from the first alert to containment and cleanup
• Write model answers that lay out the investigative logic behind each step
• Review AI responses for correctness and whether they would hold up in a real operation
• Point out advice that sounds reasonable but would leave an environment less secure

What you'll need

• At least two years in incident response, vulnerability management or a SOC role
• Hands-on use of SIEM platforms, EDR tools and vulnerability scanners
• Depth in a specialty such as threat hunting, detection engineering or GRC
• Clear written English; certifications like Security+, CySA+, CISSP or GIAC are a plus

Good to know

• Independent contract, fully remote and asynchronous, with no fixed schedule
• $90 to $135 per hour based on experience, paid weekly through Stripe
• At least 10 hours a week required, with no upper cap
