About the job

Health economists can use their modelling and methods expertise to shape how AI systems handle questions of cost, evidence and patient outcomes. The work involves building and reviewing economic evaluation tasks used to test frontier models. It suits experienced analysts who can explain their methodological choices in writing, and it's offered through an AI training company that places contractors in skill pools that project teams draw from.

What you'll do

  • Build complete economic evaluation scenarios, from the initial question to a final recommendation
  • Draft model answers that explain why each methodological choice was made
  • Review AI-generated analyses for sound methods and well-supported assumptions
  • Spot work that looks credible but could steer payers or regulators wrong

What you'll need

  • An MS, MPH or PhD in a quantitative field such as health economics, epidemiology or public health
  • At least three years in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Practical model-building experience, for example cost-effectiveness, budget impact or HTA work
  • Clear written English
  • A plus: submissions to bodies like NICE, ICER or CADTH, and modelling in R, TreeAge, Stata or SAS

Good to know

  • Remote, asynchronous contract work paid hourly at $90–$150, via Stripe
  • You set your weekly hours, with a minimum of 10
