Biomedical Engineer

This contract role pays biomedical engineers to judge and improve the technical material that AI systems learn from, in areas such as medical device design, biomechanics and regulatory work. It suits engineers with hands-on device or biomedical experience who write clearly and want flexible, independent work. The company is an AI training data firm that supplies expert-reviewed datasets to AI research labs.

What you'll do

• Review device designs and biomedical analyses produced by AI models, flagging technical errors
• Write worked examples of verification, validation and design control processes based on your own experience
• Score and label model answers using accepted biomedical engineering standards
• Cover topics including biomaterials, imaging and regulatory submissions

What you'll need

• A biomedical engineering degree, or one in a closely aligned engineering discipline
• At least two years working in biomedical engineering or medical devices
• Clear, precise writing skills
• Preferred: an MS or PhD, hands-on FDA 510(k), PMA, ISO 13485 or IEC 60601 experience, or deep expertise in a specialty like biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging or instrumentation
