Engineering Technician NF-04

Serves as a Engineering Technician in the Engineering Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. 2026 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for Honolulu, HI is 8.64%. The first cut-off date will be on 02 November 2026. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager. Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities (KSAs) as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: A minimum of five years of specialized experience demonstrating an acquired knowledge of engineering mechanical systems, designs, blue prints, environmental policies, safety policies, maintenance, supply, project management and contracting management. Must possess extensive knowledge for the maintenance of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems (HVACR) not limited to but including chilled and hot water systems, direct expansion systems, low temperature coolers and freezers, pumps, automatic control valves, and direct digital control systems. Must have maintenance knowledge of electrical switchgear, motor control centers, generators and auto transfer switches, lighting systems and controls, and direct digital control systems Must have experience with PC based software packages. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing and be able to document and verbalize problems, changes, and needs. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Experience with HotSOS or other work order management system desired Preferred are those candidates that have a degree in facility management, or construction management. Hospitality experience is preferred. Desired Certifications are one of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or any other industry related certifications.
