RemoteContractOther Engineering

Key skills

  • Data Annotation
  • Electrical Engineering

About the job

Electronics and electrical engineers can put their technical judgment to work on AI training by watching footage of robots in operation and explaining what the electrical and electronic systems are doing. The role suits engineers with hands-on robotics, automation or mechatronics experience who write clearly. The work is for an AI training company supporting a client project, and you don't need any background in AI to take part.

What you'll do

  • Watch videos of robotic systems and annotate the electrical and electronic behaviour you observe
  • Read schematics and system diagrams to explain how robot components are wired and powered
  • Flag anomalies, events and system functions, and write notes that ML specialists and fellow engineers can follow
  • Help improve the annotation guidelines and resolve questions with technical teams asynchronously

What you'll need

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Solid experience designing, analysing and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • A background with robotics, automation or mechatronic systems
  • Confidence reading schematics and explaining complex ideas in writing; prior work annotating video or images helps

Good to know

  • Contract engagement, fully remote
  • Pay is listed at $50–$90 per hour
  • The project has 100 openings
  • The listing does not state a schedule or weekly hours
