Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Expert

Practicing Certified Financial Planners can apply their professional judgment to building and reviewing the planning cases used to test how AI models give financial advice. The role suits fiduciary-minded planners who can lay out their reasoning clearly in writing. The work is for an AI data company that produces expert evaluation data for AI research labs.

What you'll do

• Write realistic client cases that span the whole planning process, from early goal conversations to the finished plan
• Prepare model answers explaining the logic behind each recommendation, such as retirement income or insurance needs
• Check AI responses for errors, gaps and whether they truly put the client first
• Point out advice that sounds reasonable but would leave a client worse off

What you'll need

• An active CFP certification, held in good standing
• Two or more years advising planning clients directly
• Working depth in estate, tax, insurance and retirement planning, beyond portfolio selection
• Strong written English
• Nice to have: fee-only or fiduciary practice, a CPA, CFA or ChFC, or experience with equity compensation or business-owner cases

Good to know

• Independent contractor role, fully remote and asynchronous
• Pay ranges from $85 to $130 per hour based on experience, sent weekly through Stripe
• Requires a minimum of 10 hours a week, with no upper limit
