About the job

Aerospace engineers can use their professional judgment to test how AI models handle real engineering problems. The role suits practitioners who like explaining their decisions in writing. It is offered through an AI training data company that supplies evaluation material to frontier AI labs. Accepted applicants join a pool of aerospace specialists, and project teams choose people from that pool.

What you'll do

  • Create realistic engineering problems that run from initial requirements to a design review
  • Prepare model answers that explain the reasoning for every engineering choice
  • Score AI responses for correctness and adherence to relevant standards
  • Identify designs that look convincing on paper but would not survive actual flight

What you'll need

  • A degree in aerospace engineering or a similar discipline
  • Two or more years working professionally as an aerospace engineer
  • Specialist depth in aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, GNC or a comparable area
  • Strong written English
  • Flight test, wind tunnel, NASTRAN, ANSYS, CFD or FAA/EASA certification experience is a plus

Good to know

  • Independent contractor role, fully remote and asynchronous with no set schedule
  • Pay ranges from $100 to $130 per hour based on experience, paid weekly through Stripe
  • A minimum of 10 hours weekly is expected, with no upper limit
