Accounting Technician

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Resource Management Office on Travis Air Force Base, CA. Eligible for the following benefits: Annual and Sick Leave, Medical & Dental Insurance, Stand Alone Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k) and Retirement, Flexible Spending Account. Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange(BX), Gym, Outdoor Recreation, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and the Arts & Crafts Center.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in work which provided comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting methods, procedures, and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting system encompassing a number of diversified activities; ability to prepare financial settlements and reports. Knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations. Knowledge of the accounting system sufficient to flow individual funds and specific monies from initiation through expenditure stages in order to trace discrepancies in the system.
