Qualifications

MINIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E4 MAXIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E7 Your rank MUST be included somewhere within your resume. You must fully substantiate in your own words that you meet the requirements listed below. When explaining minimum requirements and specialized experience you must give examples. The memorandum must be submitted WITH your application to be considered for this position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in the use of common hand tools to make mechanical repairs. Experience removing and installing aircraft parts, components, and accessories with detailed guidance. Experience in following detailed instructions in making routine, reoccurring repairs and modifications to aircraft parts, subassemblies, and components, e.g., such as jacking and leveling aircraft, installing, and adjusting engines, landing gear assemblies, instrument panels, and flight control systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have experience or training equivalent to or exceeding the WG-10 or WU-10 level that demonstrates the ability to perform duties as a dedicated crew chief; perform, coordinate, and/or oversee aircraft maintenance work and required periodic inspections; coordinate the work of journey-level mechanics or workers from other trades working simultaneously on aircraft; and serve as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs on assigned aircraft.
