Supervisory Security Guard

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOW Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position in located at For Bragg, NC.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience with a federal, state, municipal, local, or private protective organization which includes the following: 1. Plan the activities of a security guard force shift, performing access control operations; 2. Administer training and guidance to ensure personnel are equipped to protect against threats to property and personnel; 3. Perform supervisory and administrative duties related management of a security guard force. 4.) Grants access to those individuals that have met screening requirements and demonstrate a need to access the area. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
