SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the Operations Division of NAS KEY WEST.

Qualifications

This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, HazMat Technician, HazMat Incident Commander, Driver Operator Pumper, Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I (or First Responder Inspector), and Fire Instructor I, National Registry EMT. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide verification with your application, you will be rated ineligible. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling and/or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; 2) Performing rescue operations; 3) Detection, reduction, and/or elimination of potential fire hazards; 4) Operation of fire communications equipment; 5) Controlling hazardous materials incidents; and 6) Developing, implementing, and/or providing training in fire protection and prevention.
