Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join a B2B SaaS team building software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how their operations run and turn real-world challenges into production-ready software and AI-powered tools.

What You'll Do

• Embed with customer operations teams to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance work in practice.
• Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end solutions across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.
• Own product areas from discovery through production, iterating quickly based on direct user feedback.
• Use judgment to identify which customer needs are broadly useful and which are specific to one workflow.
• Analyze customer documents, calls, and outputs to develop workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with AI/ML, LLMs, document intelligence, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering role.
• Comfort working directly with customers, learning operational needs, and communicating clearly.
• A strong academic or technical foundation and experience outside professional services or consulting.
• Forward-deployed engineering experience is a plus.
