This position is an Open Title 5 Excepted Service Non-Uniformed Personnel position, open to the Public and to Veterans following the MN National Guard Merit Placement plan. Competitive service employees may apply however will be converted to Excepted service if hired.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. In describing your experience, please be clear and specific. We will not make assumptions regarding your experience. GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Duties Performed at the GS-13 or Equivalent Level. Assignments require the first professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.), active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia, and more than two years of professional legal experience that is equal to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Additional Conditions of Employment: Must either be currently in good standing (certified) with a State Bar or able to obtain certification. Must be a graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) when a top-secret clearance is required. The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment. Note: The caveat is that the States, Territories, and the District of Columbia cannot drug test until a drug free workplace policy has been established and approved by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.?
